What do I need to do before the plasterer starts work ?
The best thing you can do to help us out is to clear the room of furniture etc. as much as possible.

Can you strip old wallpaper from my walls ?
Quite simply - yes.

Will I need to fit a new carpet ?
If your rooms are empty we can cover the carpet and apply tape all around, minimizing any dirt getting through.

What does 'Blown Plaster' mean ?

This is the plaster that doesn't have contact with the brick wall any more and is just managing to 'hang' on the wall. It can be recognised by knocking with your fingers.

You will hear a louder / hollower sound on the blown plaster than in the healthy plaster.
Blown plaster should be knocked out and patched up to bring it level with the rest of wall before skimming.

Can you provide a quote for insurance work?

Yes, we can provide you with a written quote to present it to your insurance company.
It normally depends on the insurance company whether they accept that quote or not.

How long will it take ?

Rooms come in many different size and may have different needs.
The amount of time taken will depend on what services you require i.e. Plastering, painting or hanging wallpaper.
We will always state the estimated amount of time a job will take when we supply you with a quote for the work.

Will you clean up after you have finished

Of course. And for an extra deep clean we can organize cleaners to undertake dusting and wall cleaning from our Sister company Battersea Cleaners Are you insured ?
